This Weather Guard Pack Rat drawer unit is designed to mount in either the rear or side door openings of vans or into the bed of a pickup truck. It offers easy access to small items without having to crawl in and out of the Van or pickup truck. The unit is finished in Weather Guard Equipment WG-TI Brite White Finish. The low-profile provides sealed and secure storage for heavy items without reducing Van or pickup cargo area. The top of the unit has anti-skid strips in order to prevent slipping. Reinforced construction allows for the placement of items on top of the unit. The top and sides of the cabinet are 14-gauge plate steel while the bottom is 20 gauge steel reinforced with full-length 12-gauge skids. The drawer is constructed of a combination of 12-gauge and 18-gauge steel. The front and bottom of the drawer is made of 12-gauge while the drawer partitions are made of 18-gauge. The skids on the bottom run the full width of the unit and provide an excellent attachment point for the Pack Rat unit. Plus Nut fasteners are provided for anchoring the Pack Rat in place. The drawer recesses into the cabinet and is weather stripped to keep out the weather. The roller bearing system is simple, effective and easy to maintain. Each drawer has a load rating of 425 pounds, evenly distributed. A push button latch/lock mechanism provides one hand operation and protection from theft and pilferage. The drawer compartment measures 9-3/4-inch wide. This unit is four compartments wide and is the standard 48 inches deep for use in standard pickups and vans.
